About Rise and Shine on Purpose

Do you remember as a kid having your mom wake you up as she pulled back the curtains in the morning and announced “rise and shine”? I didn’t give much thought to what that meant for me back then. I usually just wanted to bury my head under the pillow.

Now, however, “rise and shine” brings new meaning for me.

As you travel through life, you learn more about yourself but also other people. You learn about the world around you and the heart within you. Along the journey, your experiences might feel heavy and hard.

Each day we have a choice. We can rise to the challenge and shine in the opportunity.

My hope is that I can confidently (and humbly) shine my light. And more importantly, shine light on others – people who are making an impact while living bravely and boldly.

Think about how much brighter the world could be.

It’s time to rise and shine…on purpose!

About Brandi

Born and raised in North Carolina, I clarified my purpose 4,000 miles away from home in December 2018 with will a room full of strangers.

Sounds interesting, right? For more about how my journey, read here.

I have a lot to be thankful for…

  • The mister (who thinks I’ve lost my marbles at least once a day)
  • My mom (even though she posts way too much on Facebook)
  • Friends that can keep me grounded or lift me up when I need it
  • Golf cart rides with my fur babies
  • My side hustle as a fitness instructor at our local YMCA
  • Wine – especially Cheerwine
  • Costco
  • Y’all (or you all) and taking the time to be here and read this
  • And my purpose…

Finding your purpose is transformative. Living and leading from your purpose is empowering.

While I could live without things like blue ink pens, peanut butter, and parallel parking. I don’t want to live without purpose.

Want to shine your light? Want to shine light on others?

There’s strength in numbers.
